About Us

Harper Photography began as Cirino and Harper back in 1997. We abbreviated our name to just Harper Photography in 2000. We are composed of three experienced professionals, Kathie Harper, John Harper, and Julie Krofcheck. We have evolved through the years to use the photojournalistic approach to wedding photography that is preferred by most couples today.

We excel at designing attractive album pages with the images that our brides have selected. Each book is a unique creation tailored to the couple that commissioned it. Our service after the wedding is dependable, and responsive.

Julie Krofcheck studied fine art and printmaking at Ohio State University. She received her degree in Fine Arts at OSU. She has been photographing weddings for five years.

Julie's work reflects her unique view, and is truly original. She has an eye for images that are interesting, and creates images that are out of the ordinary.

Julie excels at the use of digital editing techniques to produce beautiful album page designs.

John believes that it is important to capture all of the subtle moments that tell the story of your wedding day. He is experienced at arranging group portraits as well.

He grew up in Cleveland, and knows the local landmarks well. John has his favorite photo locations, and will help you to find the one you will like best .

Kathie Harper is praised by brides for her unobtrusive manner and her creative photographs. Kathie was an early proponent of black and white, candid photography, and infrared images. Kathie studied art at Miami University, and photography at Lakeland Community College.

Kathie and John met and were married after graduating from Miami in 1974. Kathie has nine years of wedding and studio experience.

Kathie is an excellent listener. She provides brides with the content, and style that they prefer.
